Coming soon..... Baby X

I have to laugh when I see Baby X, but it's the best way to describe where Andy and I are on names for our newest addition coming soon. (Vanessa B. attached this phrase to us, LOL) Andy wants to name her Cora Lynn Rees after his paternal G-grandmother. I tease him all the time that even she didn't like her name because she went by Ethel. I haven't come up with a name that has stuck with me, but I figure I will fight that battle after she is born and I am holding her in my arms. Shalonda wants to name her Marenda and Rebecca's choice this week is Hailey. So you can see we are no where near an agreement.

I went to see my OB yesterday, and we had an Ultrasound & NST(non stress test) done. She passed, which is great. He said she looks find, but I wonder sometimes how this surgery has affected her. She will most likely be my smallest baby. Shalonda was 9lbs 2 oz at 39 weeks, Rebecca was 8lbs 14 oz at 38 weeks and James was 8 lbs 4 oz at 37 weeks. Right now she is about 5.5 lbs. The doctor is guessing her to be 7.5 lbs at birth.

I have been having some small issues with gestational diabetes. I am trying to control it with diet, and so far so good but I do have a few blubbers for readings. I haven't been feeling the greatest and hoping to get over this hurdle also. My OB seems to think that we will be delivering by May 15th 2009!! Woohoo that is less than 30 days from now, 29 to be exact if I counted right. Maybe sooner if things go south. Keep your fingers crossed she stays and bakes as long as needed so she is a healthy one!

So... now I am in overdrive to get the small projects done around here that need to be done before baby X arrives. I have been down for so long this house has gone to the birds!! Now I have to motivate my dear husband since most projects involve his manpower and my brains, LOL!! The carpets need shampooed, crib rail worked on, rearranging things and so forth. You can imagine he so enthusiastic to help! I can say I am ready for her arrival. Shalonda threw me a wonderful baby shower last weekend ( will blog about that soon, have to download pics)and I received tons of wonderful gifts. I have washed the clothes, hung them, crib is out and up, and I am piddling with things figuring out where I want to put everything. Andy told me to stop nesting, he's not ready yet. He better get ready! *Smile*

Well the count down begins..... 29 days and counting until Baby X blesses our family.
I can't wait to meet her.
