Next week at Walgreen's they have a few great FREEBIES! and I thought it would be a great time to suggest going there to get some newbies the opportunity to get their feet wet. When a product has a Register Reward advertised, it basically is a Catalina looking coupon the machine prints that works as store cash. One thing to remember when shopping Walgreen's is the coupons & product ratio. What that means is if you buy 2 items you can not have no more than 2 q's including the RR. This is when filler items come in handy. I usually scout the clearance section back to school to find a very cheap item usually under $.50 so that I can use more. This week I have a suggestion where you won't have to worry about this. Another thing to remember is if I am buying 2 items the same (ex: crest toothpaste) but have to run them in separate transactions I can not pay for the second with the RR that prints from the first because it will cancel it out. This is why I do multiple transactions and rotate items and sometimes make several trips through the week. It also helps that I only live 2 blocks from a Walgreen's. Some stores will also limit the number of RR items you buy, if you are lucky you won't have to worry about that. You can always ask the clerk, and I always ring up my transactions in the cosmetics counter.
This eliminates a back up and if I have issues I am not under pressure to give up or get rushed.

These 2 items are freebies this week. What I suggest is to buy the tampons first since they are cheaper which will make a difference when using RR. Once you pay for it they will give you the RR for $2 with your receipt, then ring up the lip balm and use the RR from the tampons to pay for it and all you will owe is the tax and you will also receive another $2 RR from the lip balm for another transaction. So you have basically invested about $2 and some change, gotten tampons and lip balm and $2 RR so you could almost call it a wash. If your store will let you buy more of these items then rotate them and pay for them with the RR that printed from the other. The only issue will be with the tampons because they are $1.99 and the RR will be for $2. Your total before tax has to be at least $2, so this is when you need filler items, does that make sense?
I will try and find some other deal ideas to expand out the possibilities.
Thanks IheartWags!
