Well I had a busy weekend. I had promised Andy a quiet weekend which didn't happen **Frown**. Started out Friday night shopping for new work boots for him. I never dreamed it would be so difficult to find a pair of men's work boots , steel toed and waterproof in my life!! I love my husband but he has no patience for shopping so after the third place I decided it was time to quit for the night if I valued my sanity. We then went to Famous Dave's BBQ for dinner and headed home.
The following morning I really anticipated he would sleep in since it was his first day off in over 12 days. Nope he was wide a wake at 5:30 and outside playing in his garden by 7. It wasn't much later and James joined him too. I stayed in bed another hour or so and decided I might as well get up and start the day before it got away from me. After breakfast we headed back out to find those elusive boots.
We took the kids with us, I didn't want them to spend their day stuck at home, plus I never dreamed we would be gone that long. Six hours later and a wallet alot lighter we made our way home. I ended up with a new pair of shoes and 3 pairs of Capri's. And before you ask, yes we found Andy's boots. Since he was such a good sport we decided to go to the movies that night. I cashed in my free ticket from Fandango and we went to see Clash of the Titans in 3D. I enjoyed the movie and the CG was good also. I probably would be jumping up and down more with the review if it hadn't been a remake and I already knew the ending. Kinda took the suspense away if you know what I mean. It was still nice to get away for a few hours and spend some time just sitting back relaxing, being entertained and snuggled up to my honey at the same time. The sad part is when the movie was over we didn't know what to do with ourselves. HOW SAD IS THAT? It was 10 pm and we were headed home and felt like our grandparents, LOL!
Sunday was a usual, we lounged around the house, ate breakfast and started the ritual of getting ready for afternoon church. We share the building with 2 other wards so we rotate the times we attend church and this year we go from 1-4 pm. After wards we came home and made Chicken ranch pizza for dinner. Andy and James went outside, trying to keep those two inside is like corralling a wild beast or something because it's in their blood to be out in the fresh air and bonding with nature. James did a funny thing today, he came home from church with a baggie of gummy worms and as soon as he got out of the truck he went over to the flower bed and proceeded to dig a hole and bury them. He then stood there puzzled because he said they weren't growing. LOL. I can only assume he meant the flowers around them, and him thinking the worms would help them grow. It was to late to tell him they were a treat for him to eat at this point.
Tonight I have been searching for sites to go camping next weekend. It's hubby's birthday. I figure if i keep him happy and relaxed the less he complains about working and brings home the bacon for me to fry up in the pan! ( sorry couldn't help that one!)He likes to fish and Lake Anna is suppose to have some good crappie fishing right now, so it's high on my list at the moment. I need to get the places narrowed down and make a reservation soon! Well all the kids are crashed out, Andy's watching TV and I'm plunking away on this thing when I could be spending some quality time with him. Good night all... and I will try and post some freebie or coupons deals tomorrow afternoon.
