I think she's ready

Tomorrow is the first day of school for Rebecca. She is advancing to middle school and is very apprehensive. I know it's a change for her, and I also know she will succeed in what ever she does. As a parent it's hard to watch your child be so frustrated and intimidated and not be able to change it. I have reassured her,but that is all I can do at the moment. I also know it is part of growing up that she must do, and it's a new adventures in uncharted territory.

I took her today and finished up the rest of her school shopping. I bought her a pair of Asics for gym, and a pair of mudd's casual shoes for every day and a pair of converse to wear too. I really like the new converse she picked out. It was a toss up between white ones that said Peace and Love or the black ones with psychedelic colored hearts on them. She chose the hearts!! I am hoping it cheered her up.

After she showered tonight she came into the living room and asked her dad to give her a father's blessing. I knew once her father did that she would feel so much better. It was a good blessing, he touched many of the things she has been worried about and others she hadn't mentioned. I know she have faith in the power of the priesthood and it will help to comfort her hearing the words her father spoke.

I should sneak into her room and take a pic of the shoes, but I don't want to wake her up. Maybe after school tomorrow I will do so.

Can I add that James stayed dry all day!!! We are potty training and I'm not sure who trained more, Me for constantly taking him or him for going, TOSS UP!
YEAH JAMES!! now if we could convince him to use the potty for #2 instead of squatting my my table by the door we would be in good shape!!

Okay so I snuck into her room and took a picture *wink*

Those look so like Rebecca. They are too cute. She was pretty calm today when she and Bethany left for the bus. I took a picture of the two of them I will email to you later. Yay James!!
