James

It has been a while since I have posted. I need to be more diligent that is for sure!! Last night I was sitting here in front of the computer, and James walked over to me with a chart that we have pics on of what we are working on for signing. (We are trying to teach James to use sign language) He started going through the list and signing so many of the things I was shocked. He won't do a sign when encouraged to, he has to do it on his terms. ( wonder where he inherited that from?) Anyway, he signed last night movie,diaper, hurt, all done,eat,water, milk,cereal, banana, diaper, bird, fish, cat, dog, horse, frog, mom, dad, hurt and baby!! I was so excited I just hugged him. Now I have to get him to use them in the context they are meant. Yesterday I cut my leg shaving and put a band-aid on it. He walked up to me today and signed hurt!! I wanted to cry, it has been a long road and alot of tears to get here.

I figure with all the progress on the communication, we needed to start potty training again. Well he must agree because he came walking down the hall way without a diaper. I went looking for it, it was in the bathroom. And of course he left me a surprise on the floor, #2. ( eye roll). Now I have to convince him to use the potty for #2 instead of using my floor, LOL.

Well I better run, just wanted to post something so not to fall off the radar!
We are doing well and everyone is keeping busy. It has been nosier since Rebecca returned home, but we are glad she is. Take care everyone......
