My Graduation 5/10/08

I woke up at 3:45 am that morning of graduation with "issues", the same we had been dealing with all week with James. I sent Andy out to Walgreen's to buy some Imodium. *insert blushing*. I think I ate the whole package bound and determined it wasn't going to inter fer with my day. It started raining at about 4 am and that just added to my stress since it was an outdoor graduation. We got early, and the rain had stopped so we hustled the kids and headed to Colonial Heights to drop James off at my moms. With him being sick all week and his inability to sit still I knew if he went it would be a disaster for Andy to deal with. The only causality of the day was Andy's poor forehead. It is now blistered. He is still on Cipro (which says stay out of the sun) and I shaved his head due to the patch of stuff on his head I can't spell. * insert frown*. and his receding hairline, that part of his forehead has never been exposed to sun and is nice and pink.

All in all it was a good day.
I drove us home and everyone fell asleep in the Durango so I let my frustration fester a little thinking about it. I busted my ASS dealing with everything. I'm a full-time mom and managed to graduate Magna Cum Laude. Missed suma by a few hundreds of a point and they don't round it either. I feel like nothing I do is good enough anymore for some people. Anyway.... enough dribble. I made a small montage, Andy isn't the greatest photographer but I uploaded the pic that could be used. LOL.
I should add he was very proud of me, I could see it in his face when he came up to me and hugged me after it was over.

Maybe I will punish my self and continue on *wink*. Enjoy!!

Congratulations on graduating! That is a fantastic accomplishment and something to be extremely proud of. I'm sorry that your Mom didn't show more support.

Congrats, Shari! I'm so proud of you! I thought I did well to graduate magna and I didn't have a family to take care of, too. You're awesome! Your mom should've been more supportive. I'm sorry she wasn't. Hugs!

I am so glad that we were able to be there and see it first hand. It was a wonderful graduation and we were all so very proud of you. I am glad the girls (yours & mine) got to see first hand that even Moms can succeed!! Congratulations!!

I tried to comment yesterday and my computer DIED!
You have every right to be proud of yourself...you've accomplished something good and worthwhile! Parents don't always think, and in so doing miss a chance to uplift their child. Your mom missed that chance...just remember, there are lots of others who know how hard you worked for what you got..and are very proud of you!
(Thanks for being such a good friend to my daughter!)
